Kevin Friar, the oldest “Friar Boy”, passed away on April 2, 2018. Whether you “bar crawl” along Bridge or just party in one spot, celebrating your run to glory will never be sweeter. The Band will start jammin’ at 11am and there will be a variety of Rehydration Specials available at participating Bridge Street watering holes: The Anchor, Condando, Arktos Meadery, O’Toole’s, Kale’s Korner, The Sovengard, Butcher’s Union, Fratelli’s, Ando, Jolly Pumpkin and Morning Belle, will fuel the post-race party. The Knickerbocker – New Holland Brewery, will once again host registration and Race HQ. The 2021 GR.1K pre-race schedule will help get you warmed up. (After then, you will have to rely on our sizing estimations!) All proceeds from the GR.1K will be donated to Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy in an effort to end Duchenne muscular dystrophy. The Band – 5 Minutes Tardy will start the comeback tour at 11am to help get you pumped up! Register by October 31, to reserve a long Sleeve Race Shirt in your size. DOUBLE DIGITS BABY! You have had TWO YEARS to train for the “Race to End Duchenne!”. 1K road race that starts at one end of Bridge Street and finishes about a block later.
